The proposal of a new staircase system which is fit for all generation and physical abilities. Two kinds of guides are combined to form a slope and steps. This new system helps to create a user friendly environment that requires a minimum of space with an unobstructed view.

スロープ ステップス システム は
スロープと階段とを融合したものです。車椅子の操作性と安全性を高めるターンガイドとパラレルガイドにより、今までにないコンパクトなスロープをつくりだし、その一部を階段として利用します。その結果、スロープと階段を別々に設けるよりずっと少ないスペースで設置することができます。

Turn guide and Parallel guide enhance maneuverability of a wheelchair and ensure the safety of the people using it. These features also contribute to the unprecedented compactness of the system enabling part of it to beused as a staircase. As a result, this system requires a lot less space compared to what is required to build a conventional slope and staircase together.

利用者の多様性

階段を利用しなければならない人の身体能力は実にさまざまです。
いままでの階段ではこの多様性に対する配慮が十分ではありませんでした。
「階段だから」と最初からあきらめていたことがずいぶんあるのです。

The physical ability of people who need to use staircase varies greatly.
Conventional staircases have provided little consideration in this regard.
Hence many people have given up what they wanted to do simply because the staircase design was inadequate.

車椅子の車輪が溝にはまりこんでしまうというトラブルはよくあります。
パラレルガイドとターンガイドはこの車椅子の弱点を逆に利用して、車椅子をコースから外れないように案内するためのくふうです。

● パラレルとターン、この２つのガイドによって最小限のスペースで安全なスロープを作ることができます。

● 一段ごとに繰り返される回転操作と直進操作の煩わしさを大幅に軽減します。

Wheels of wheelchair can be trapped in a ditch very easily. The Parallel Guide and Turn Guide take advantage of this characteristic of wheelchairs and prevent them from getting out of the track.

Parallel and Turn: these two guides make the slope safer with a minimum of space.
They also greatly ease the trouble of changing direction on every corner.

ユニットの標準化

構成部品をユニットとして標準化してあります。同じ環境を作り出すことができるため、はじめての場所でも不安なく利用することができます。
さらに量産によるコストの低減ができ、設置工事も簡略化できます。

The Standardized Units

All of the parts are designed to be standardized for manufacturing, so that the same system can be installed anywhere with very little modification. Mass production will also lower the cost of construction and simplify the set-up procedure.
